Tripped Out Breaks is a psychedelic collection of funky drum and bongo breaks selected from the vaults of Vintage Drum & Bongo Breaks.
Processed through vintage reverbs, echoes and tape delays, including the Roland Space Echo RE-20, WEM Watkins Copicat and gritty Farfisa Compact Duo Spring Reverb, each break was recorded to ½-inch tape before entering the digital domain.
The result? A seriously funky, trippy collection of beats packed with vintage warmth, character and psychedelic grooves.
All beats were created and performed by The Bongolian (Nasser Bouzida), a seasoned musician with four Bongolian and four Big Boss Man albums released on London's Blow Up Records.
His impressive career includes performances with Morcheeba, Money Mark, Jack White and The Mighty Boosh, remixes for Paul Weller, and contributions to the Drum Drops series alongside the Sugarhill Gang's original drummer.
